SEAS Parish Hall & Café Renovations Update
October 8, 2025
Project Overview:
Progress continues on the Parish Hall and Café renovations, though some adjustments have been made to accommodate necessary floor leveling prior to LVT installation.
Current Work & Schedule:
- Flooring:
Floor leveling is currently underway in preparation for the installation of the LVT flooring. Flooring work will continue over the next two weeks.- During the week of October 13–17, flooring will be redone in the Gathering Area, the hallway leading to the Planning Room, and the Choir Hall.
- The timing aligns well with the Priests’ Institute, as there will be no daily Masses from October 14–17, allowing uninterrupted access for flooring work in the Gathering Area.
- Temporary Walls:
Temporary walls will begin coming down that same week. The existing partition wall in the SEAS Café will serve to block the renovation area from the Gathering Area, and a plastic temporary wall will be installed to close off remaining access points. - Electrical Work:
The electrician will return on Friday to complete two key tasks:- Connect power for the new “St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church” illuminated sign.
- Disconnect power for the Nabholz mobile office, which will then be relocated into the Parish Hall area.
- Doors & Millwork:
Interior doors have arrived and are being stored onsite until installation can begin.
Millwork is scheduled to begin the week of October 20. - HVAC:
The remaining rooftop HVAC units are scheduled to be set on November 24.
Summary:
While the project experienced minor delays due to subfloor leveling needs, work is progressing steadily with major visible updates anticipated over the next several weeks, including flooring completion, millwork installation, and new signage lighting.

SEAS Parish Hall Renovations Kickoff!
Wall Breaking Ceremony – March 23, 2025
We’ve officially kicked off the long-awaited Parish Hall renovations!
Fr. Kiefer blessed the project, praying for the safety of the workers and the success of the renovations. After the blessing, parishioners grabbed sledgehammers and took a swing at the SEAS Café walls to start the demolition!
Hard hats and safety glasses were provided, and contractors from Nabholz and HDesign were on hand to ensure everyone stayed safe.
Please continue to keep this exciting project in your prayers as we look forward to the transformation ahead!

What to Expect During SEAS Parish Hall Renovations
We’re excited to announce that the SEAS Pavilion construction went smoothly! Thanks to Nabholz and H-Design for their excellent work—it came in just under budget, and the feedback from those who have used the new facility has been fantastic. The Food Pantry is already in full swing using the new space for ministry, and everything seems to be running great!
Now, we’re ready to move on to the Parish Hall renovations, which will begin on March 24. This includes updates to the main parish restrooms, SEAS Café, and PSR Classrooms. It won’t be an ideal nine months, but it will be well worth it in the end! We know there will be some inconveniences along the way, but we’re here to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
Why Not in Phases?
We understand that some parishioners would prefer to renovate the restrooms first. However, breaking the project into phases would extend the overall timeline and increase the cost. It would require separate permits and inspections, making the restrooms a standalone project. Additionally, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, ceilings, flooring, and painting are all interconnected throughout the renovation area, so allowing contractors to work on all spaces together is the most efficient and cost-effective approach.
Key Changes & Impact
Exterior Closures:
- The east awning door entrance and the east Parish Hall entrance will be closed off for construction.
- East handicap parking spaces along the Parish Hall exterior will be blocked off.
- Temporary handicap parking will be marked with signs across from the awning.
Interior Closures:
- The section of the SEAS Café nearest the Gathering Area will be temporarily walled off.
- The main restrooms will be under renovation and unavailable.
- School restrooms will be open during weekend Masses.
- A single restroom next to the Reservation Chapel will also be available.
- Directional signage will be posted to guide you to the school restrooms (through the Choir Hall past the Planning Room).
- The hallway will be temporarily narrowed from 4 ft to 3 ft to accommodate construction.
- At the Parish Office east exterior entrance, you will still be able to access the Parish Office. However, beyond that point will be walled off, so it won’t be an option for getting to the school.
Meeting Space Adjustments:
With the Parish Hall, PSR Classrooms, and SEAS Café under renovation, available meeting spaces will include:
SEAS Pavilion
Adult Ed Room
Two mobile classrooms
SEAS School Cafeteria
We’ll work closely with all groups to meet their meeting space needs during this transition.
This is an exciting time for SEAS! These updates are long overdue, and we can’t wait to see the fresh, new look of our parish. Thank you for your patience and support as we take this big step forward!

Description: Having successfully completed its We Believe capital campaign, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church and School is expanding its existing parish hall and constructing a 5,000-square-foot pavilion on the church grounds. The church leadership has provided monthly updates since breaking ground with a blessing ceremony Feb. 11 and has said the pavilion will serve as storage and distribution space for the church’s ministry to people in need, as well as providing a space for parish activities. Additionally, the expanded parish hall – which will be completed after the pavilion, probably late in 2025 – will serve the growing needs of the church community. Additional project expertise is being provided by Aimco Equipment Co. LLC (Little Rock, Arkansas), kitchen consultant, and Creative Design Consultants Inc., interior design consultant, according to the general contractor.

FEBRUARY 11TH GROUNDBREAKING

Thrilled to have Bishop Rice join us for the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Pavilion Groundbreaking Blessing! Our Parish Council and Building Committee dedicated countless hours to create smart and thoughtful designs that address the growing needs of our community. The purpose-built spaces will enhance our parish life, fostering a stronger sense of community.
With numerous weekly activities on campus, the project is crucial for our parish. It aligns with our Catholic Call to serve the needy, notably through the St Vincent de Paul Society’s food pantry. The new pavilion design includes forward-looking plans to improve pantry storage and engagement.
“We Believe” is more than a building project; it’s an investment in our parish’s vision for community and service. Our 12-week campaign aims to raise $4.5 million, and in week 6 we’re excited to share that we’re 68% of the way to our goal!
While financial support is essential, participation from every parishioner matters most. Your pledge, with flexible payment timing, contributes to our shared success. Check the Flocknote emails for details and pledge options. Let’s build a stronger SEAS community together!

January 2024
I am delighted to announce the launch of our capital campaign, We Believe. Collaborating for a successful campaign offers us the chance to fulfill our mission of charitable assistance to our parish and create a space for parish community gatherings. Our plans include the construction of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Pavilion on the northwest area of our property. This 5,000 square foot space will serve as much-needed storage and distribution for ministry to those in need and also provide for parish activities. Also, included in our plans is the renovation of our Parish Hall. Hours of planning and prayer have gone into preparing for this significant moment in our parish, and I believe it is essential for our continued spiritual growth.
After studying and listening to you, our parishioners, I am convinced that the We Believe capital campaign is the answer. The pastoral council, finance council, building committee, and I have heard many positive and hopeful responses from parishioners. A capital campaign is an extraordinary event for our parish, enabling us to share our blessings to deepen and celebrate our faith, which is essential to our mission as God’s people. The need for an additional building constructed for our service to those in need, more areas for parish ministries and activities, and a renovated Parish Hall are clearly validated for us to continue our service to the Lord and minister to each other well into the future.
On January 6th, we will reach out through SEAS Flocknote to invite your generous financial support. Please take the time to explore the details at seaswebelieve.org, gaining valuable insights and addressing any questions you may have. As you reflect, prayerfully consider making a sacrificial pledge, payable over five years, to play a vital role in shaping the present and future of our parish faith and life. Your early involvement is pivotal.
I would not seek such a commitment if I did not sincerely believe in the importance of this project for the continued vitality of our parish. Please pray for our capital campaign leadership team, who graciously give their treasure and time, with a spirit of faith, hope, and charity.
Thank you in advance for your sacrificial response. I also want to take this opportunity to express gratitude for your fellow parishioners who have faith in our future and are providing this invitation for your participation in the growth of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish.
“We know with certainty that our God calls us to a holy life.” With God’s help and the spiritual support of the Holy Spirit, we will complete this worthy task.
Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, pray for us.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Reverend Thomas P. Kiefer
Pastor
